Amorika’s first art exhibit opened in ‘t Werkhyus

September 7 / 2016

Amorika introduced itself as an art collective by showing a selection of work from all the members.
Each artist showcased a sample that represented his or her style and artistic concept. The show included video installation, performance, photography, painting and illustration.

Amorika is an art collective integrated by six Latin American artists living in Belgium. The collective seeks new artistic languages to express the idea of “what makes us human” while working on social matters that bring people from all backgrounds together.

Amorika means “gathering of sensitivities and immigrant views”… stories of migrating birds.
